One day, Elephant was slowly walking down the road, when he met Rabbit.

The Elephant had a pair of huge, droopy ears like fans.
//NEWLINE//
Rabbit asked, "Why Elephant, are your ears so droopy?"
//NEWLINE//
"I was born this way," replied Elephant.
//NEWLINE//
Later that day, Elephant also met Little Sheep. Sheep also asked the Elephant, "Why are your ears droopy?"
//NEWLINE//
The Elephant was beginning to get frustrated. “They all talk about my ears, maybe there is something wrong with them. I need to make them stand up.” said Elephant to himself.
//NEWLINE//
How did Elephant attempt to make his ears straight? Every day, before going to sleep, he would put two bamboo sticks under his ears to hold them up.
//NEWLINE//
Little Dear, Horse, and even Little Mouse would criticize Elephant's ears when they saw him.
//NEWLINE//
Rabbit said: "Look, my ears are straight, there has to be something wrong with your ears."
//NEWLINE//
But, flies often flew inside Elephant's ear hole and danced inside, giving Elephant a headache and making him angry.
//NEWLINE//
In the end, Elephant let his ears droop. This way, flies wouldn't be able to get in. If flies were near, all he needed to do was flap his ears and the flies would all go away.

"I should let my ears droop, let other people do it their way, but I am me." said Elephant.
